Many moons ago I worked as an assistant in a drawing office and I had my very own drawing board. Using my ink pens I had to produce mainly schematic drawings of electrical installations for houses and other types of buildings. In our office there were a number of
Drawing Boards that the electrical engineers used to use. My old drawing board had seen plenty of use over the years yet it still worked perfectly when I had to use it. It`s been such a long time since I used a drawing board that I was surprised the other day, when I saw one in an art suppliers shop window and realized that they hadn`t change their designs too much. The classic workstations are just as robust as they have ever been and the surfaces seem exactly the same. I remember my board offering great levels of adhesion when I had to stick my drawings to it. The new
Drawing Boards will no doubt have smooth parallel motions and a perfectly balanced work area. The height and slant adjustment look to be the same too, so this means they will be easy to operate. My memories of my old drawing board are extremely fond and if the new drawings boards are anything like it, they will be exceptional items of equipment.
